Addicted-To-Stamps' Holiday Blog Hop Dec 3 - 4

Welcome to the Addicted-To-Stamps' Holiday Blog Hop!

This is our Holiday blog hop and the design team has a lot of great projects in store for you. Along the way there are so many amazing ideas of what you can do with our digi stamps, that may just inspire you to scraplift. If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our fun hop, you can go to http://addicted-to-stamps.blogspot.com/ and start at the beginning.

Today I am featuring the Snow Baby Digi Stamp by Sherri Baldy. I used my prismacolor pencils and odorless mineral spirits to color her in and I added some sparkle with a Gelly Roll Stardust pen in Clear Star. I made her outfit pink because...well that is probably my favorite color!! I decided to make a small card so that it can be used a a gift card holder. I added some extra snowflakes to the card as well as some clear rhinestones to the image. I think the sentiment "Baby it's cold outside" is very fitting for the image. I found that in my stash of stamps. I left the inside of the card blank so that I can give it to anyone but added slits so that you can slide a gift card in there easily. Make sure you come back tomorrow to see a different project and a surprise!!

Please hop along with all of us since each design team member will be choosing one lucky person that commented on their blog to receive the digi stamp they used for free!!! Doesn't that sound like an exciting small piece of blog candy??? But wait we also have a prize for a lucky Grand Prize Winner! Addicted to Stamps Latest Card

Hi everyone!!! I know I have been MIA, school really puts a damper on my free time!! But I wanted to share with you a card I made with a Digital Stamp from Addicted to Stamps. The stamp is by an amazing designer Mitzi Sato-Wiuff. It is called Gardenia. I just love this digi and I plan on making more cards with different color variations.
I colored her with my Prismacolor pencils but did not use odorless mineral spirits since I still have not been able to pry open my bottle yet!!! I added stickles and glossy acccents to the image. I put her on a pink card base, the card stock was from Stampin' Up. I also added ribbon and some Crystazzi 4mm pearls on the edges. I also used the P.S. I love you stamp from PTI's Love Songs set.
Here you see just a little glitter

This was to show how much glitter was actually on the card.

To purchase this digi please see it here: Gardenia Digi and if you hurry there is a sale, Buy 2 and get 1 free! I promise you, You'll find more than one digi you will want.

Also please go check out Addicted to Stamp's Blog here: Blog and follow us!! We showcase some of our creations there as well as update you with Blog Hop's.  Also there is a new free Digi stamp released, check it out here: Freebie

Today I am featuring Glitterella The Good Witch by Sherri Baldy Digi Stamp. I printed 4 of them on an 8 1/2" x 11" sheet. I used copics to color her in and of course I added stickles to give her some "Glitter". I had so much fun coloring her that I think I may do another one but print her to fit on a full page and make something for my house to hang during Halloween!! (ha ha I better do it now lol) I cut out the image and put her on a black metallic card base and I also embossed "Happy Haunting" in gold on the bottom right corner. I left the inside of the card blank so that I can give it to anyone.

Bucket List Blog Hop

Welcome to Just My Crafts and the "Bucket List" Blog Hop! If you've come from visiting Michelle's blog you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our fun hop, you can go to http://craftychelle.blogspot.com/ and start at the beginning. We would love to share a few projects with you on some of our Bucket List ideas.  So get ready for some super fun projects and some fun giveaways along the way! Make sure to check out each member's blog. There will be some fun prizes along the way, AND there will be some AWESOME ideas!

I would like to thank Michelle for allowing me to participate in this blog hop and wish her a very Happy Birthday. Also would like to wish Jamie and Wendy Happy birthday and Happy Anniversary to Gill and Jim.

For my project I decided to make a purse size bucket list notebook. I have not made a Bucket List yet, I guess I never really thought about it. So my list is growing and in order to keep it that way, I figured I needed something that I could pull out no matter where I was and add something or check something off easily. So I guess my first entry in my Bucket List notebook is to make a Bucket List LOL. So as a birthday present to myself I have started my Bucket List. I never knew how much stuff I wanted to do that I have not yet done. For my project I printed out paper from my Imagine and covered a mini composition book with it. I added a fabric block from Fantasy Fabric Blocks on the front. I used mod podge on it so that I can easily wipe off anything that may land on it while it is in my purse. I wanted to add more decorations to it but then decided against it since I thought it would probably fall off while in my purse anyways. But don't hold me to it, I may add more decor to it in the upcoming days. Don't you just love the little air balloon? Make sure you go check out the website it you would like to try the fabric blocks, there are gorgeous and come in so many different styles!!

But wait before you go please let me know what is something that is on your Bucket List that you want to check off this year!! Mine would be to take a real vacation with my honey, last one was almost 3 years ago. I will pick someone on Monday and send you a little blog candy!!! For an extra entry (leave a separate comment, go Like Altura Credit Union's Facebook page and like my comment (Justina Almanza) under the Taylor Swift ticket post and then come back here and let me know.

Old School Cartridge Blog Hop

Welcome to Just My Crafts and the Old School Cartridges Blog Hop! If you've come from visiting Peggy at http://ICrea8Cards.blogspot.com you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our fun hop, you can go to INKING IT UP CRAZY and start at the beginning. We would love to share a few projects and ideas with you using the older cricut cartridges.  So get ready for some super fun projects and some fun giveaways along the way!  After you have finished the hop, be sure to head on back to INKING IT UP CRAZY  and create and link up a project of your own using one of your older cartridges.  The older the better ;) Make sure to check out each member's blog. There will be some fun prizes along the way, AND there will be some AWESOME ideas!

For my project I decided to use New Arrival. I have never used this cartridge before, so I thought this would be the perfect cart to use. Shortly after I was asked to do this blog hop my step-daughter called me and preceded to tell me that she no longer needed me to go wedding dress shopping with her, I was taken back and then she said because I need you to help me get a nursery ready. I am so excited, this is grand baby number 6...for a 32 well I will be 33 when she has the baby. (HA HA my honey is 19 years older than me =)) So instead of planning a big wedding we are having a small one and focusing on the new arrival. So in anticipation of the newest member of our already large family I decided to make a card. I had to make it a little generic until we find out if it is a boy or a girl (fingers crossed). So I found this great easel card video that I found on Crafty Susy's Blog. It was a little challenging for me since I had to break out the Gypsy and I have never used it other than to link my cartridges to it. Let's just say what would take a person an hour at the most to do the project took me 2 days. I did the gypsy file saved it and then when I went back to it and it was no longer 3 layers but one layer. So I had to start over. And figuring out the paper was another thing that took me a while. All the paper I used came from my large stash. I do not know the names of the kind of paper since I bought most of it online from someone who was de-stashing their paper. To watch the video tutorial please go here: Crafty Susy's YouTube. Here are pictures of the steps I did after making the Gypsy file.
The first cut, the card base and the pop up base on plain white cardstock.

The cutting of the baby and his accessories.

The cut for the inside of the card

Score the baby where their heads connect

And then again at the neck

This is what it will look like after those scores are made.

I added some ink to the edges of the baby for the inside of the card

I used my re-positional glue to stick this on so I could move it as needed.

I used a copic to color the baby's cheeks and then stuck a small strip of blue cardstock behind the head for the eyes

I glued the pieces onto the pop up card base I cut out

I then attached the lower half of the pop up card base and the card to each other

It looks like this after you have those glued on

I put the little safety pins together, I colored the pins silver.

I then glued them to the inside of the card, so that it will act as a stopper

All done. This is what it looks like standing up on it's own
I figure if I find out if it is a girl I will add a pink bow to the hair and little earrings. Or a headband with a big flower. If it is a boy well I guess she will get it as is....LOL. I will add a sentiment inside before I give it to her. I sure hope she likes it.

But wait before you go...to celebrate my step-daughter being pregnant (which she was told a number of times it would never happen due to her diabetes and other health issues she had before) I would like to giveaway some blog candy. So please leave a comment and give me some ideas for names for either a girl or a boy. I won't make you become a follower, but I would love it if you would!

Your next stop is on over to Cheryl at http://www.pinkandpaper.blogspot.com  Go see what she has in store for you today!!! Below is a full list of the participants of the blog hop in case you get lost along the way. Thanks so much for hopping along with us!!
