Have you heard of NOVICA? Well NOVICA, works in association with National Geographic, and works together with talented artisan designers around the world to produce stunning, keepsake treasures. Their mantra is to spread global happiness and allow us to enjoy the fruits of their labor.
I recently came across these amazing Pina Colada glasses that Novica was selling. They come from the artists Efren and Javier. They created these pina colada glasses from hand blown glass and created masterpieces. These are definitely works of art and something I would have bought if I was vacationing in Mexico.
You get a set of six glasses that each hold a good amount of liquid aka pina coladas. Yes please! So because I am talking about pina coladas I figured you may need a good recipe for one. So normally I would buy a mixer but I wanted to find one that was little more authentic.
How we make it is equal parts of a light rum (I use Malibu pineapple), cream of coconut and pineapple juice with ice. Put it in a blender to crush the ice and there you go. You can garnish it with a pineapple slice I like to throw any real pineapple and some shredded coconut to give it a little texture.
To give it a little flair, I took some toasted coconut shreds crushed it and then dipped the glass in some water let it drip off and then dipped the glass in the crushed coconut, pour in the pina colada into the glass and garnish it with a tad more of the crushed toasted coconut on top and add a little umbrella.
These glasses hold quite a bit of the pina colada so adjust the rum to your liking and alcohol limits.
I would like to thanks Javier and Efren for making such beautiful glasses. These are definitely the best glasses I have ever bought. If you would like to add these to your collection also you can buy them here on Amazon.
Don't forget to check out all the other NOVICA items in their store, there is some amazing merchandise and it helps people from all over the world.
